"Open Attic Window" uses an eclectic mix of Jazz and contemporary vibraphone styles. The composition uses an A.B. structure with a chorus that keeps the continuity of the themes format. A cadenza concludes the middle section with demanding runs up the length of the instrument, reminiscent of the standard baroque era. The work ends with a coda and vamp that fades out.

The composition presents challenges to the performer with its melody and accompaniment switching between the left and right hands.
